Bound in cream colored cloth with elaborate ornamentation in gilt on the covers and title in blue on the spine. The back joint has a 3" split starting from 1.25' down from the head of spine, but the binding is tight. Covers are slightly soiled. Corners are very softly rubbed. The head of spine is worn with some fraying. Endpapers are toned with a sprinkling of foxing. There is line of transfer from one of the plates to the margin of the facing page. Otherwise the book is clean with clear text and bright ,richly colored unmarked plates. "The illustrations for this edition were drawn in color and gold by Arthur Syzk and printed in London by Sun Engraving Company.
