Hardcover. Condizione: Near Fine. Text in English and Finnish. 67 pp. Minor edge wear. Couple of small smudges on rear cover. Everyone in Japan knows the idea of ichi-go ichi-e. It has to do with traditional tea ceremonies, and its literal meaning is 'once in a lifetime'. The Japanese use this phrase to emphasise the uniqueness…of the meeting that takes place during each tea ceremony. In late 2012 to early 2013, photographic artist Takeshi Moro spent three weeks in the town of Mänttä, Finland, getting to know the residents of the reception centre for asylum-seekers, which had just been established in the town. Hussein, Qalandar, and Wali, from Afghanistan, received him as a guest and allowed him to capture their life. Together with these three men, Moro also photographed the landscapes of Mänttä. Ichi-go ichi-e is a story of the meeting between Moro, Hussein, Qalandar, and Wali.
