Carrier et Lebon sont mis en accusation. Le 24 décembre 1794 le tribunal révolutionnaire est supprimé. En 1795, c'est le débarquement de Quiberon. Talien ordonne l'exécution de 727 prisonniers contrevenants à la parole de Hoche, qui leur avait assuré la vie sauve.
