The authors endeavour to decipher his paintings and installations, crossed by societal issues specific to Lebanon: war, abortive revolt, political and financial bankruptcy, the tragedy of the port of Beirut or even pandemic. The artist paints anonymous portraits of his contemporaries, which have today become symbols of the Middle East. It represents the city, its buildings, erected, but also in ruins. His art is vibrant, dynamic and textured.Text in English, French and Arabic.

Il grandit au sein d une famille tournée vers l art : son père et son oncle, étant eux-mêmes artistes. Suivant la même voix, il se forme d abord à l Institut des Beaux-arts de l université libanaise de Beyrouth, puis à l École nationale supérieure des Arts Décoratifs de Paris. Cinq années après son arrivée en France, il reçoit la médaille d argent en peinture aux Jeux de la francophonie et participe ensuite à plusieurs expositions à travers le monde. Liban, France, Grande-Bretagne, Argentine, Égypte ou encore Niger, sont autant de pays accueillant les oeuvres de l artiste. Ses productions des dix dernières années ont été compilées à travers cet ouvrage inédit, édité en français, anglais et arabe. Les auteurs s attachent à décrypter ses peintures et installations, traversées par des problématiques sociétales propres au Liban : guerre, révolte avortée, faillite politique comme financière, tragédie du port de Beyrouth ou encore pandémie.
