Orly Goldwasser examines lexical acculturation and semantic integration in Egyptian, Sumerian, and Nahuatl, demonstrating how language contact reshaped classification schemes. Sonja Gerke investigates animal classification in Ancient Egypt, highlighting how symbolic, ritual, and utilitarian values informed taxonomies.
