This booklet only scratches the surface of this largely forgotten part of the "Golden Age" of aviation. Many were designs put together to utilize the cheap and plentiful WW I surplus of OX-5. Most were based on the three place, open cockpit biplane concept. As you will discover in this booklet the OX-5 was also used in biplanes, low wings, monoplanes, parasol wing monoplanes, cabin monoplanes and other less practical configurations." - excerpt from the Foreword.
