Aggiungi al carrelloHardcover. Condizione: Near Fine. Condizione sovraccoperta: Very Good. 3rd Edition. A history of the Mt. Tamalpais and Muir Woods Railroad. A 3rd edition of the 1954 first, this edition is revised and enlarged. Imagine 281 curves, which made 42 complete circles in 8.5 miles of track! Add to that a 7 percent maximum grade, a fleet of Shay and Heisler geared steam locomotives, and dozens of little 'Gravity Cars' which glided all the way from the Summit Tavern of Mt. Tamalpais to verdant Muir Woods, and you have a most unusual, and very spectacular mountain railroad - almost within sight of San Francisco. 132 pages, 216 photographs, 3 maps, and 16 scale drawings of locomotives and cars for modelers. Book is bright, clean, other than a small address label to the fep, unmarked. Tight, binding, no wear to he tan cloth boards. The unclipped dustjacket shows a little edge wear and some general surface rubbing. Postage, at Cost, to be determined when location of potential buyer is known and when type/s of postage required are known. Uniform postal charges usually do not work. Amounts shown with this Listing are usually incorrect as they are a 'one price fits all' estimate. When cost is determined, buyer can then freely accept or decline the charges. We ship to so many different locations and to over 60 different countries, a single pre-determined amount makes little sense.
