A visually striking late-1920s popular song sheet with elegant Art Deco-inflected cover illustration by Barbelle, one of the most recognizable commercial illustrators of American sheet music during the interwar period. The vivid blue-and-cream design, featuring a fashionable flapper figure with feather fan, captures the sophisticated nightclub aesthetic that defined Tin Pan Alley marketing in the late 1920s. The music includes ukulele chord arrangements reflecting the instrument's enormous popularity in American homes during the decade. The inset publicity portrait identifies vaudeville and radio performer Jack Ryan as a featured interpreter of the song. Rear cover advertisements include contemporary Waterson hits such as 'To-Night You Belong To Me' and 'That Night in Araby,' providing additional period context for collectors of Tin Pan Alley ephemera. Condition: Very Good. Covers remain bright and attractive with moderate edge wear, light creasing, and a small area of loss/chipping at the lower front cover margin. Barbelle was the professional name of illustrator Albert Barbelle (1887-1951), one of the premier American commercial artists of the Tin Pan Alley era. Born in Fall River, Massachusetts, Barbelle produced hundreds of iconic sheet music covers during the 1910s-1930s for major New York music publishers, helping define the visual identity of Jazz Age popular music. His elegant depictions of fashionable women, dancers, and theatrical performers blended Art Deco styling with romantic commercial illustration, and his work remains highly collectible among enthusiasts of American popular culture and graphic design history.
