Paperback. Condizione: new. Paperback. The Birth of Prodigy: A Journey of Death to Life is a powerful autobiographical account of survival, faith, and spiritual awakening. In this deeply personal narrative, Terry Ray Jackson-a military medic trained to save lives-faces the unimaginable when a catastrophic medical event leaves him clinically dead. What follows is a profound journey that challenges the boundaries between life and death, the physical and the spiritual.Through raw and unfiltered memories, Jackson recounts the extraordinary moments surrounding his near-death experience. He describes witnessing his own body from outside, confronting darkness, and encountering an unseen struggle between forces of light and despair. These experiences reshape his understanding of existence, faith, and the purpose of human life.Moving from the sterile environment of hospital rooms to powerful visions of the afterlife, Jackson's story reveals the resilience of the human spirit and the transformative power of divine restoration. Guided by faith and determination, he emerges from the experience with a renewed sense of purpose and a deeper connection to the spiritual world. The Birth of Prodigy invites readers to reflect on life's greatest mysteries-consciousness, mortality, and the enduring strength of the soul. It is a compelling testimony of hope, redemption, and the belief that even in the darkest moments, a path back to life can emerge. This item is printed on demand. Softcover. unpaginated; classic and important artist book at start of Fluxus; poor condition, many scuffs and fading to covers; 2-inch and 3-inch tears to top of spine with hanging flap; 2-inch tear to bottom of spine with hanging flap and partial loss; many pages have a waterstain at the right edge; contents complete with all inserts and contents; last envelope by La Monte Young is unglued but present. The first edition of this book is very different from the 2nd edition of 1970; the size of the earlier edition is smaller; almost every page is printed on a different colored paperstock; the layout of several pages has been completely re-arranged; the flow of the page sequencing is slightly different; and the spine is blank. This copy is from the library of artist Michael Snow and has a torn illustration of his Walking Woman affixed to the inside front cover; perhaps he was trying to insert himself into Fluxus; or perhaps it's simply like a bookplate.
