Ich habe weder voriges Jahr noch dieß Jahr, eine Abwesenheit von Berlin und meine…n Beschäftigungen ermöglichen können, mich daher beide Male mit einem Aufenthalt auf dem Lande begnügen müssen. Der Himmel möge Ihnen noch ein recht langes, glückliches und Segen bringendes Leben schenken. So viel ich über Ihr Befinden weiß, so erfreuen Sie sich einer immer blühenden Gesundheit und Geistesfrische. Mögen sie sich alles dessen noch lange erfreuen! Das wünsche ich Ihnen von Herzen. Vor 4 Wochen erlahmten mir plötzlich beide Unterarme und Hände, am meisten die rechte Hand. so daß ich weder Klavierspielen noch Schreiben, ja nicht einmal mich selbst ankleiden konnte. Gewöhnliche Mittel dagegen schlugen nicht an, erst die Anwendung des constanten (galvanischen) Stromes brachte mir Hülfe. Jetzt nach 3 monatlichem Gebrauch dieser Electricität bin ich soweit wieder hergestellt, daß ich beide Hände und Arme wieder gebrauchen kann, und selbst eine gelegentliche Anstrengung nicht mehr scheue [.] Frl. Goede, meine Hausgenossin und Schülerin, schrieb die Briefe, da ich noch immer eine starke Correspondenz zu führen habe. Selbst das unentbehrlichste Notenschreiben übernahm diese meine kleine Wohltäterin. Nebenbei eine herrliche, kraftvolle Sopranistin, die recht wohl geräth. Sie will gottlob nur Conzertsängerin werden [.]" Über seine Schülerin Anna Krüger. "[.] schicken Sie mir doch einmal Ihren langen und gedruckten Aufsatz über Gesang. Ich will ihn mir copiren lassen, wenn er nicht mehr gedruckt zu haben ist [.]" - Teschner ließ sich nach Studien bei Zelter u. a. als Gesangspädagoge in Berlin nieder, wo er 1873 zum Kgl. Preuß.
