Dotted with Latin, French, Italian, Ancient Greek phrases. Condition: Boards are in rough condition, need some renovating! Cracked, tears, binding showing, scraped and loss of colour. Harsh wear on spine leather pieces missing, boards showing on corners. Internally age spotting on e/ps. Some pages age discolouring on edges, but compared to the covers not bad condition. Text clear, very readable. illusts age discolouring but visiable. Given age at least they are still here. Fair condition overall.

In good condition, with some shelf wear. The fabric is frayed around the corners and at the head and foot of the spine. A small area is chipped from the top of the spine with a 1.75" split in the fabric along the spine. There is rubbing to the boards and fading along the spine. The endpapers have some foxing and discoloration; the front free endpaper has a notation from a previous owner. Overall, a nice copy with bright pages and clean, colored plates in very good condition. Binding is strong.
