Very good copy of this curious volume with pratical thematical models for sermons or paryers presented in the form of 'atlas' compiled by Tharin who was bishop of Strassbourg. It contains schemes with accolades or tables containing short optional but related texts that could be chosen by preachers as a guideline for improvisation or meditation and are arranged according to the feast- and sundays of the liturgical year. Tharin includes many passages by famous homilists like Fénelon or La Rue (without explicit reference however). Shelf-mark on half-title, 1 spine split ca. 4 cm, boards and edges rubbed, else solid and clean copy with hardly any foxing. The first edition was published in 1841. Bibl. de France nr.
