(THE TWO HORSE PRESS) THE LIFE OF THE CHRIST CHILD. London: 1962. Small folio. Red felt binding. (ii), 24 pages. One of 50 copies. This is a handsome book with the text of the Christmas story written in the calligraphy of Michael Renton who also drew different rococo borders for each page. There are also six miniatures adapted by Renton from a fifteenth century Dutch Passionale. The whole was printed on dampened Barcham Green Bodleian Repairing paper by George Mackley. There is very light wear to the extremities of the spine on this fragile binding, else a very good copy. Very uncommon, by this English private press of the 'sixties--which also used the imprint of The Two Colt Press.…
