You'll see that the red covers are perfectly clean and pretty much free of any wear. This book was published in 1946. The top page edge, all three page edges, are perfectly clean. The white inside covers and end papers are also perfectly clean. The book is square and very solidly bound from cover to cover, with supple, nicely tight pages, no binding issues at all. I'm scrolling through the pages without finding any soiling at all. There are no turned-down corners. The only imperfections I see: the very tips of the top corners of a group of consecutive pages have a very tiny crease, quite minor, probably not even deserving of mention. There are no markings anywhere in the book. There are no attachments of any kind. And no one has written their name or anything else anywhere. You can see the dust jacket in the early photos. It's pretty clean. The spine is darkened or shaded. The reason for the Minus in the condition rating is the tiny loss at the top edge of the front cover and the small loss at the top edge of the spine. There are also two small tears off the bottom edge of the front cover and a couple of scratches just adjacent to the spine. The flaps are in solid condition with only a little bit of toning and light creasing just off the top edge. The jacket is NOT price-clipped, not clipped at all. It will be fitted with a protective cover after the photos are scanned.

Pamphlet. 79p., softbound, an upright pamphlet (8.5x4 inches) saddle-stitched, rusted staples with some migration, an else rather good copy: dim with toned margins but still square, almost crisp, clean and unmarked within and without. Per notice on copyright page, "These articles first appeared in The Nation.".
