Speakman deplores the attitudes of the Orthodox party, suggesting that the trouble should have been settled by dividing the church property and parting in peace. A contemporaneous review of the book commented, 'According to the reader's creed will rank his opinion of the worth of the book, which certainly is a mournful illustration of the injury that a sectarian spirit inflicts.
