In read vinyl boards with gilt decorations and lettering (very gently rubbed on corners). Top text block edge is a little darkened. There's a small scar at the top of the front paste down endpaper, and a label indicating the limited edition and numbering, else internally neat, clean, bright and tight. A history of the Lipton company - grocers and developers of the Lipton Teas - founded by Sir Thomas Lipton in the late 19th century. A nicely produced, strong, clean copy. 8vo.

Orginally published by Hutchinson & Co Ltd, this reprint is beautifully bound in full red leather with gilt embossed lettering to the spine and Lipton crest to the front board. Several b/w photographic illustrations, including a frontispiece plate. The slightest of foxing to the fore edges. There is a limited edition sticker to the front paste down and a neat ink 'No 66' to the rear paste down. Perhaps the slightest of rubbing to three corners. A well preserved, near fine copy.

Appears to have been issued in conjunction with Canadian Pacific Airlines as the center four pages feature a statement by their Supervisor of Catering, B.A. Wisdahl, plus four recipes from five continents and a list of their flights and prices. The balance of the book contains recipes which make use of Lipton products such as their soup mixes and drink mixes. Undated but appears to be circa 1960. 40 stapled pages. Unmarked with above-average external wear. A worthy example of this uncommon Canadian recipe collection. ; 8vo.

Thumb dents along spine, lightly soiled back cover hard to see at first glance, still in overall excellent collectible condition. Staplebound mini-booklet probably sold with the food product 7,5 x 10,3 cm., 32 pages, vintage Line Drawings, recipes of onion soup powder mix. Undated. According to the Hoboken Historical Museum (Lipton is based in Hoboken, New Jersey) circa 1958-1960: "Booklet promoting Lipton's Onion Soup Mix used as California Dip in a wide variety of recipes. While Lipton introduced this product it in 1954, it appears that its use with sour cream to create a dip happened in 1955-56 by a California homemaker. Its adoption by cooks led to a surge in sales and the creation of this dip recipe booklet. Packaging is shown on the inside front cover and back cover". See their site for more notes on the fascinating backstory to this concoction. Sliker 7943 estimates circa 1985 which is totally bizarre unless their copy is a modern reprint. Book.
