A biography on Will Rogers (1879-1935), an American Renaissance man known for his roles as an entertainer, actor, humorist, and social commentator. Rogers was born to a Cherokee family in the Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma and began his career in the show business as a trick roper. He eventually made his way to the Hollywood big screen and also had positions as a newspaper columnist and a radio personality. Rogers's humor and wit made him very popular in his time. This book can also be considered a eulogy for Rogers as it was published shortly after his and Wiley Post's fatal plane crash in Point Barrow, Alaska.
