William Mann explores in his contribution some of the connections between the house and other projects by these architects, as such the key position of this home becomes readable.nnDe architectuurgeschiedenis is rijk aan voorbeelden van woningen die architecten voor zichzelf ontwierpen. De rijwoning van Tomas Nollet en Hilde Huyghe, die recent werd gerealiseerd in de periferie rond Brugge en het centrale onderwerp vormt van deze publicatie, getuigt zowel van de keuzes die het ontwerpersduo als bewoners maakte als van de ontwerptaal die zij als architecten gedurende de voorbije tien jaar ontwikkelden. In de publicatie wordt het proces tussen concept en realisatie geanalyseerd en wordt de wisselwerking tussen abstractie en realiteit - een notie die de architecten dierbaar is - onderzocht. De sequens aan beelden illustreert een vorm van langzaam of geduldig ontwerpen, een ontwerphouding eigen aan Nollet en Huyghe.
