The third, to appear in October 1917, was never published, although the uncorrected page proofs of Orpheu 3 printed in July 1917 and reproduced in this edition have been fortunately preserved. In addition to these, the last 8 pages of this third tract include: 1) a fragment of «Saudação a Walt Whitman» by Álvaro de Campos that Pessoa never got to finish although he had announced its publication in Orpheu 3, but which is missing in the typographic proofs; and 2) the poem by Camilo Pessanha «Os violoncelos» that Pessoa had expressed the intention of including in a relevant place in Orpheu 3. This is how Pessoa's initial project for Orpheu 3 has been reconstructed.
