First edition SIGNED. Affectionately and fully signed by Rose Thompson, the archivist and collector. Thompson collected the stories in 30s and 40s traveling through rural Georgia for the Farm Security Administration. She took many of the black and white photographs and portraits from the field. Fine and bright brown boards in very good pictorial dustjacket with gentle use. Clean and dignified text throughout.
