The history and contemporary status of the Treasury Department. Illustrations include George Washington in consultation with Robert Morris and Alexander Hamilton, the Treasury building in 1804, a ground plan and two views of a cross-section and elevation, a full page view of the Treasury building in 1871, and portraits of Morris, Hamilton, Albert Gallatin, Robert J. Walker, George S. Boutwell, and Samuel P. Chase. Housed in protective mylar report cover.

Normal wear and marks apply consistent with use and age. 110 pages all intact, all white/cream pages, text and illustrations are in really good, clean, readable order. Second Impression 1973. Set in 13 point Poliphilus leaded 1 point with Libra type for display. Text printed letterpress by W & J Mackay Ltd, transparencies by Michael Holford, printed in four colours by photo-litho by Jarrold & Sons Ltd and bound by them using Wintex Cloth and Opel Tyvek Paper. A fascinating book that is well researched and put together. Another wonderful book from The Folio Society.
