Softcover. Condizione: Very Good. Presumed first edition. Translated from the Hungarian by Ezra Pound. Quarto. Single bifolium with a single-sheet-insert making six pages. Light bumping to the corners, and rubbing to the exterior, very good or better. For low voice and piano. Plate imprint, "L 1020 - 3." A humorous song about a flea that's rather, well, monstrous, "Had eyes like a headlight . He had claws to break the walls." We cannot find evidence of Pound ever publishing this translation as a poem; any mention of this title we find online directs us to this song. Dondald Gallup's bibliography of Pound only lists this title as a piece of sheet music (E4ka), and states, "Text transmitted to Serly with the suggested title, 'The Buck Flea' in a letter, Oct. 1939." An uncommon piece, *OCLC* locates only three holdings.
