Includes A.L.s. from contributor Rick Scarborough laid in Vol. 4, No. 3. Eight Octavo (25cm) issues; stapled pictorial paper wrappers; 72pp; 72pp; 64pp; 72pp; 92pp; 64pp; 64pp; 56pp; black-and-white photographic halftones and illustrations throughout. Bookcase (29cm) has dark brown cloth over spine and corners, with light brown cloth-covered boards; titling stamped in gilt on spine; Townsend bindery sticker to interior. All eight issues have sunning to wrapper edges, light foxing, modest shelf-wear and -soil, and light rubbing to extremities; overall Very Good. Bookcase has light rubbing to board edges and trace interior foxing; Very Good+. Collection of magazine issues published three times each school year in Buxton, North Carolina for Cape Hatteras School, with verse, short stories, family recipes, essays, and photographs focused on the history and culture of Hatteras Island and North Carolina's coastal area. Though not explicitly marked as such, this collection is from the library of noted zoologist and marine biologist James Glen Mead, who is interviewed by Rick Scarborough in Vol. 4, No.3. [88526].
