A modern day adaptation of Shakespeare's "Othello," set in a US high school, wherein Odin James (Mekhi Phifer), the on…ly black student at Palmetto Grove Academy, who is the star basketball player and dating the Dean's beautiful daughter, Desi (Julia Stiles), is the envy of his troubled friend Hugo (Josh Hartnett), who plots a deadly scheme to sow mistrust between Desi and Odin.
