Soft cover. Condizione: Very Good. 1st Edition. One of 400 copies (of 500). 4to. Stapled wrappers. Unpaginated (44pp.). Slightly rubbed and marked outwardly, the spine head bumped and the staples pulling somewhat (without much impact), but Very Good overall, complete with the wraparound band and curiously rare in paperback. Hardcover. Condizione: Very Good. 1st Edition. One of 100 specially bound copies, numbered and signed by the author and the illustrator (of 500), published by Iain Sinclair. 4to. Dark red cloth gilt. Unpaginated (44pp.). With the wraparound band, which was originally made for the paperback copies but was later included with the…hardback. Some copies, though not all, also had a tipped-in hand-painted mandala, not present here. The book was described in a 1972 Albion Village Press leaflet as follows: 'In two parts: the first, shorter, the diary of 10 days in the foothills of Bhutan. The second: unfolding memories of Calcutta Jails. In three layers, interwoven with quotations from Tibet, Ireland, San Francisco. Not recommended, by author.' Somewhat scratched and marked outwardly, the cloth a little frayed to the corners and the spine mildly rolled, the rear endpaper slightly handled/smudged in production; one nick to the band. Johnson B004. Signed by Author and Artist.
