This Swedish-language ophtha…lmological publication contains an extract (pp. 1-13) from the Thuringian Pastor Johann Samuel Fest's ?Winke aus der Geschichte eines Augenkranken .? (Leipzig, 1794; 1st ed. 1793) and a brief presentation (pp. 14-16), by the Danish professor of medicine Johan Clemens Tode, of the causes of eye inflammation as well aseffective means of treating it. The binding is of a somewhat later date and has an unlettered vellum spine and marbled boards. Both text and binding are very well preserved.
