Berlin: Georg Reimer, 1910 8vo. xii,235pp. Contains a Deutsche-Osikuanjama dictionary on pages 186 to 204 and Osikuanjama-Deutsche on pages 205 to 235. Hermann Tonjes was a German missionary in South-west Africa. With the stamp of the Editorial Library B.F.B.S. to the front endpaper and a pencilled note stating that this was bought from Dr. Werner's estate in August 1935. Also included are two handwritten letters on the note-paper of the Missionary Association for the Dioceses of Bloemfontein, Kimberley and Kuruman, and Damaraland, written by Miss K. E. Godden, the general secretary to Professor Werner discussing her help in translating a letter from Ovamboland, the Rev. G. W. R. Tobias, and aspects of translating the language. Spine faded, a very nice copy of the first edition in the publisher's red cloth.
