He also, signed BOTH on their respective Half Title pages, and finally he initialed EACH on their respective title pages. Vol. 1 has a prior owner's bookplate just inside the front board, and a different prior owners smaller plate just below that. Vol. 1 dust jacket has a small 1/4" piece missing from the front right bottom corner. Otherwise both jackets are quite nice, and present superbly in clear archival covers.
