First edition of this well-illustrated brochures on the variety of travel and utility trailers from the Lyons co. during the 1920's. Featuring models ranging from a basic Model A "Lyons Thrifty" trailer up to the $ 325. Camp Bungalow Trailer, with many shown transporting tourists, hunters, Kamp-House Trailers with canvas folding tent, as well as use by florists, roofers, contractors, and nurserymen. Lyons Iron Works specializing in structural and ornamental iron and trailers began manufacturing hauling trailers in 1917, entered the camping trailer in 1920, ad by 1926 succeeded in patenting the canvas Bungalow Trailer, which could be entirely removed from the hauling trailer bed. Self-printed colour-illustrated softcovers, w/ cover art of 1961 station wagon pulling a Kenskill Model 21 trailer, still NF copy, stamp of Cavanaugh Trailer Sales, Portland, OR on back cover. First edition of this very scarce catalogue for this California manufacturer of Traveleze travel trailers which first began producing travel trailers in 1946. Bill Kennedy originally began designing and building teardrop trailers in 1946 following World War II, but then formed Kenskill Trailers with financier Brunskill, who was the company president. A Kenskill trailer even made an appearance in the apocalyptic Panic in the Year Zero starring Ray Milland. No copies located in Wordcat.

Photo illustrations, floor-plans throughout, self-printed colour-illustrated softcovers, cover art of 1939 Hudson pulling a Platt Trail-a-Home trailer behind driving in the West (minor dustsoiling, soiling to spine, pencil annotations & pricing on first couple pages), still a VG- copy. First edition of this very scarce pre-War dealer's catalogue for the Platt Trail-a-Home travel trailers, produced in 17 ft. Runabout, 19 ft. Admiral, 21 ft. Lincoln, and the deluxe Berkshire 24 ft. model. Of particular interest in this catalogue was their production of their New "Concession Car" streamliner diner car, which featured stools, lunch counter, and well-appointed kitchen for successfully operating a moveable diner restaurant. Platt Trailer Co. was founded originally by Oliver Platt (d. 1939) in 1934 after purchasing Doloretta Manufacturing in Osceola, IN who produced cabinets, cart tables, and furniture, and by 1935 moved to 44,000 square foot facility in Elkhart. The company built about 100-125 units a year, and were renowned for their quality. Worldcat locates 1 copy (WI Hist. Soc.
