This is a rare English translation of Kiener's book on Cone Shells done by John Holeman of Schnectady, New York March 1968. Apparently with much additional information. This book has the appearance of a xerox copy with many illustrations copied from Kiener, Deshayes and photographs from many collections. No publisher noted. The sturdy blue buckram binding with any gilt lettering has a stamp "Handcrafted by the Guam Handicapped". Quite a number of pages had the very first or last line chopped off to various extent but I've found most can be read with a little patience. Unpaginated but I estimate more than 400 pages. Alphabetical listing by latin names with Part 1 listing Kiener's Conus Abbas to Conus Zontaus and Part 2 Cones of the Western Atlantic: alphabetical listings from Conus Abbotti to Conus Villepinii. Clean. tight. appears unused. Fine condition.…
