Hardback in dustwrapper. 22 × 14.5cm, 112pp. Chilean diplomat and writer Miguel Serrano's personal memoir of his independent, deeply spiritual friendships with both men during the final years of their lives in Switzerland. The book includes Serrano's exploration of the shared intellectual and spiritual landscape between Hesse and Jung - particularly their mutual fascination with Gnosticism, Eastern philosophy, alchemy, and the concept of the archetype. It also records some deeply personal correspondence and records of conversations including some of the very last letters Jung wrote before his death in 1961, in which he reflects intimately on the true nature of his life's work and the cosmos. Condition: The book is in good plus condition, with some foxing to the page edges. The dustwrapper is a bit faded to the spine and with some surface abrasion but has not been price-clipped.
