But for the former owner's gift dedication at head of title page and the finger soil in the margins of the 24 pp text, this book could pass as new from the outside. Book that is, not the price-clipped, two-tone green background dj, which shows small chips at spine ends and lower tips, one small 1/4 x 1/2" hole in dj near upper gutter on rear panel. 1" closed tear at foot of surface soiled solid green rear panel with a white 2" medallion with three little dwarfs sifting through a pile of sand for something. Front panel shows a single dwarf walking through weeds with a sack and a shovel over his shoulder. Some creases and light soil but this jacket has kept the book in near fine form. No ISBN found, not exlib. 1966 Western Publishing copyright, with a 1953 copyright by Flammarion. Not sure which printing this is. The dwarfs run the local grist mill and the millstone isn't working. Twinkles, a jolly dwarf has set out to find the friendly giant who lives on the mountain. The giant will fix the millstone if the dwarfs will cook him a giant sized loaf of bread.
