Inside all onion skin paper pages in excellent clean and bright condition. Inserted is the original advertising pamphlet. This volume is the text only as the illustrations by Leon Lebegue were to be "sold apart and sent under cover, free from all observation to any address" and were "executed so as to admit of their being bound up with the volume of Merrie Stories" . A very nice copy of these stories originally reputed to come from Duke Philip's Burgundian court in the mid fourteen hundreds. A very scarce edition.
