Très rare exemplaire du tirage de luxe de cette anthologie littéraire sur la Chine, préfacé par Edouard Herriot, qui…écrit : "La Chine a droit au respect de tout être vraiment instruit et civilisé. Elle est la doyenne des nations ; notre histoire, comparée à la sienne, ne semble plus qu'une enfance. Confucius, ce nomade méditant, n'est-il pas le premier type du ministre philosophe ?". Futur vice-ministre des chemins de fer, Tsen Tsonming vécut en France de 1912 à 1925 ; il propose ici les extraits d'auteurs divers parmi lesquels Tchang-Tseu, Shung King, Wen-Ti des Han, Han Yu, Tchang Tai, Sou Chi, Wang Ying-Ming, Hoang Li-Tcheou, Tsai Yuan-Pei, Wang Tsing-Wei, Liyuying (ce dernier "fonda en France des revues en langue chinoise pour introduire en Chine les doctrines républicaines et socialistes"). Bon état (couv. un peu frottée avec petits chocs en coiffes, très bon état par ailleurs). Very rare copy of the luxury edition of this literary anthology on China, prefaced by Edouard Herriot, who writes (we translate) : "China has a right to the respect of every truly educated and civilized being.It is the doyenne of nations, our history, compared to his, it seems only a childhood Confucius, this nomad meditator, is not it the first type of minister philosopher? Future Deputy Minister of Railways, Tsen Tsonming lived in France from 1912 to 1925; Here he presents extracts from various authors, including Chiang Tzu, Shung King, Han Wen-ti, Han Yu, Chiang Tai, Su Chi, Wang Ying-Ming, Hoang Li-Tcheou, Tsai Yuan-Pei, and Wang Tsing. -Wei, Liyuying (the latter "founded in France Chinese language magazines to introduce the republican and socialist doctrines in China"). Good condition (cover a little rubbed with small shocks in caps, very good condition by the way). Langue: Français.
