Hardcover. Condizione: new. Hardcover. Climate change poses unprecedented challenges to plant growth, biodiversity, and productivity, necessitating innovative strategies for sustainability. Impact of Climate Change on Medicinal and Herbal Plant microRNA delves into the intricate relationship between climateinduced stress and the molecular mechanisms underpinning plant adaptation, with a special focus on microRNAs (miRNAs). This book provides an indepth exploration of miRNAs as pivotal regulators in plant biology, offering insights into their biogenesis, functional roles, and applications in stress management and crop improvement.Highlighting the interdisciplinary approach to understanding plant resilience, this book examines critical topics, including the impact of abiotic stressors like heavy metals and elevated CO2 levels, regulatory roles of miRNAs in photosynthesis and productivity, and the integration of bioinformatics and epigenetics in miRNA research. Through comprehensive chapters, readers gain knowledge about miRNAmediated bioengineering, genome stability, and the emerging potential of omics technologies to combat the effects of climate change on agriculture.Key Features:A thorough analysis of miRNA biogenesis, regulation, and degradation, along with their myriad functional roles in plant biologyExploration of abiotic stress tolerance mechanisms in medicinal, cereal, legume, tuber, fruit, biofuel, and beverage cropsInsights into bioinformatics tools and databases for miRNA analysis and their implications for stress tolerance studiesDiscussions on miRNAmediated bioengineering for climateresilient crops and recent advances in omics approachesDesigned for researchers, students, and professionals in plant sciences, bioinformatics, and climate studies, this book bridges fundamental and applied research, making it an essential resource for addressing climate variability through molecular innovations. This book provides an in-depth exploration of miRNAs as pivotal regulators in plant biology, offering insights into their biogenesis, functional roles, and applications in stress management and crop improvement. Aggiungi al carrelloTaschenbuch. Condizione: Neu. nach der Bestellung gedruckt Neuware - Printed after ordering - Knowledge workers increasingly use multiple devices such as desktop computers, laptops, cell phones, and PDAs for personal information management (PIM) tasks. This book presents an examination of users' mental workload in this context, especially when transitioning tasks from one device to another. Three tasks were assigned to each user, related to Files, Calendars and Contacts. Users reported high frustration with current devices' support for task migration, e.g. accessing files from multiple machines. Workload measures obtained using the subjective NASA TLX scale were able to discriminate between tasks, but not between the two conditions in each task. Task-Evoked Pupillary Response, a continuous measure, was sensitive to changes within each task. Results suggest that neither task performance metrics nor workload assessments alone offer a complete picture of device usability in multi-device Personal Information Ecosystems. Traditional usability metrics that focus on efficiency and effectiveness are necessary, but not sufficient, to evaluate such designs. Aspects of hot cognition such as emotion and pleasure show promise in the evaluation of PIM systems.
