Magazine. 130p., softbound 8.5x5.5 inch journal featuring essays, fiction, verse, cartoons, and big-city advertisements. Limey in-jokes aplenty, with cartoonings the best-integrated feature (jokes mostly racist). A poor copy but complete, lots of creasings and edgewear. As is. Publisher DEWHQ describes this as "a magazine for the three Services in the Command and for troops from East Africa serving outside the Command". evidently purposed as entertainment and morale-builder for (almost exclusively white) British troops stationed in an unfamiliar country. War's over, troops decommissioned, so is their magazine as 'repat', repatriation, commences. An earlier cataloguer taped one of the many contributors, a Roy Campbell, as a "pro-Franco anticommunist"; we have no further information.
