Hardcover. Condizione: Good. 1st Edition. First edition bound in brown buckram. Text has occasional foxing but is nice and without other flaws. Binding is sound, primary flaw being a 1/2" square chip from the spine right at the lettering. Boards are very sound front cover gilt lettering strong, corners lightly bumped, slightly c…ocked. An otherwise very nice copy and spine chip. Priced accordingly.

Internally endpages age toned, with a previous owners name and date (1872) inked to…top of inside front board and a second name penciled to 3rd free endpage. With engraved title page with tissue guard and mild smuding/soiling scattered throughout. The binding is tight and hinges intact. Introduction signed Uncle Tobias.
