Paperback. Condizione: new. Paperback. Many seers, mystics, astrologers, philosophers even theologians have foreseen a new age that is birthing on planet Earth. Some call it the Age of Great Awakening, which is the term used in this book. It will be an age in which spirituality will prevail, and not religion, politics, finance, and material gain that now predominate human thinking. It will encompass and affect every facet of our lives, especially those who currently 'rule' over humanity. Why do we have so many Evil, corrupt, psychopath people ruling over us? In this age, a new breed or species of 'Leaders' will emerge. This book is about those emerging leaders, what they will look like, how they will behave ethically, and what they will have to face and confront in the decades to come. A good portion of the book deals with our flawed understanding of 'leadership' and what can be called leadership from the shadows. Here, the words of Carl Jung are worth remembering: "In order to know the light, we must first experience the darkness And it is this darkness that so many are now living through. But as this wise person also said, "As far as we can discern, the sole purpose of human existence is to kindle a light in the darkness of mere being." This item is printed on demand. This item is printed on demand - it takes 3-4 days longer - Neuware -The purpose of this work was to examine the ancient origins of servant leadership, as it has been defined in the 20th century by Robert K.Greenleaf, and identify any other ideas, and principles that flow naturally or concurrently with it. Using an historical, inductive analysis of western civilization, the research found that the origins of this concept can be traced back at least 2500 years, starting in ancient Greece and Rome. Ideally, servant leadership flourishes most naturally in democratic institutional environments, and from the inner work that servant leaders voluntarily engage in, and learn from in their lives. Its source is not egoism but a selfless regard for others. It depends on followers who will only follow a true servant leader. In essence, it is primarily a form of moral leadership. As to the future, given current, twenty-first century threats to the survival of humanity, such as nuclear war, over-population, and climatic change, the need for servant leaders has never been greater or more pressing. This work will be of use and interest to leadership scholars, management theorists, philosophers, social scientists, or anyone deeply concerned with our future. 160 pp. Englisch.
