Paperback. Condizione: New. Print on Demand. This book presents a comparative investigation into the performance of three distinct refrigerant mixtures when used in a water to water heat pump; propane (R290), and zeotropic mixtures of HFCs and hydrocarbons (R32/290, R32/152a, and R290/600a). It analyzes the impact of these refrigerants on the system's capacity, efficiency (COP), and overall performance, providing valuable insights into alternative and more environmentally friendly refrigerants for use in heat pumps. Through a series of controlled experiments, the author evaluates the performance of each refrigerant mixture under varying conditions, highlighting their respective advantages and limitations. The book's findings contribute to the ongoing search for sustainable and efficient heating and cooling solutions, making it a valuable resource for researchers, practitioners, and anyone interested in the field of refrigeration and air conditioning. Paperback. Condizione: New. Print on Demand. This book explores a linear fit method of rating unitary air conditioning systems, specifically two-speed and variable-speed systems. The author evaluates the practicality and accuracy of this method through testing and application to two-speed mixed systems. Detailed descriptions of the evaporators, matched system condensing unit, and testing methods are provided. The book presents test results, linear fits for capacity and power, and comparisons between measured system performance and linear fit predictions. It also includes discussions on blower efficiency and cyclic degradation coefficients. Through these analyses, the book demonstrates the applicability of the linear fit method to mixed systems and its potential to improve the accuracy of mixed system ratings. By providing a comprehensive analysis of this rating method, the author contributes to the understanding and application of linear fit techniques in the field of air conditioning system assessment.
