Microstructural studies with the help of scann…ing electron microscopy (SEM) revealed uniform grain structure. The dc electrical conductivity ( dc) reveals that the ferrite samples have conductivities varying from 10-6 to 10-9 ohm-1cm-1. This shows that they are fairly resistive. The temperature variation of dc conductivity shows that there are three temperature regions having different types of conduction.

From the present studies it is concluded that the samples having low resistivity show high dielectric constant and high loss factor and converse is true in other cases. The loss factor studies revealed that there are dielectric relaxations in the studied in the present work. They are attributed to the presence of copper ion which is available in multiple valence states.
