From Wikipedia: "Henry Clay Barnabee (November 14, 1833, Portsmouth, New Hampshire-December 16, 1917, Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts) was an American actor and operatic comedian, best known for playing the Sheriff of Nottingham in Reginald De Koven's Robin Hood. He also helped to found the opera troupe "The Bostonians" and was active in the Boston Ideal Opera Company. Barnabee was a member of Columbian Lodge in Boston, joining in 1865. He joined St. Andrew's Royal Arch Chapter in June of 1868, and DeMolay Commandery a few months later. His papers are held by the Portsmouth Public Library in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.
