His translator here is the journalist and romantic novelist William Mac Cabe (also cited as "McCabe"] who had reported extensively on Daniel O'Connell.… This is a very Good copy of the First Edition in English, an extremely scarce title [two copies are held by LoC]. Green cloth binding, blindstamped with an Irish harp and decorations. Titling in gilt on the spine. Clean text; xiii, 342 pages; with a four-page advert in the rear. The front endpaper has been removed. Spine darkened and mildly bumpd. This is an ex-libris copy from Ampleforth Abbey, with a label on the front paste-down; this, however, is the only treatment to be found. A sound copy of an hitorically important contemporary source. In an archival plastic protector. First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good/No Jacket. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
