Condizione: Very Good. 2nd Edition. India paper issue of the second edition. Limp brown calf leather binding with light scuffing. Light creasing to a few pages, a few light marks to text. Blank pages 321-324 have some neatly handwritten verses. Previous owner's name in pencil to verso of front free endpaper: Rev. R.A. Beddos. Includes a couple of letters from Beddos on headed notepaper. Beddos was priest in charge at St. Peters Church, Edensor until 1997. The vicarage at Edensor later became the home of Deborah Cavendish, last of the Mitford sisters, when she moved from Chatsworth House in 2009. She lived there until her death in 2014.
