Soft cover. Condizione: Very Good. A catalogue that accompanied an historical exhibition sponsored by The Art Students League (New York) and the Provincetown Art Association and Museum of Provincetown, Massachusetts. Shown from August 14, 1993 to September 30, 1993. It consisted of three parts: 1) a historical survey 2) an invitational of contemporary well-known artists and 3) a juried exhibit. Profusely illustrated throughout in color and b/w including vintage b/w photographs of some of the painters and artists. Prior owner has annotated two of the paintings with the names of other painters' names in white space next to them. This does not distract from the contents in any way, which is otherwise in excellent condition with no other marks of any kind. Measures 8.5" x 11" with 76 pages (un-paginated). Due to its weight (it is printed on heavier, glossy stack), additional shipping charges will be required for all deliveries outside the United States.

stapled wrappers. Condizione: Good. First Edition. Oblong Folio, unpaginated 28 unnumbered leaves, stapled pictorial wrappers. A modern rarity. WorldCat cites only one location. With 14 drawings by renowned Indiana and Provincetown artist, Tony Vevers. "Professor of Art and Art History at Purdue University in Indiana and a highly respected and well-loved artist with deep roots in Provincetown, Tony Vevers' contributions to the art world and to the arts in his adopted home are legendary. His figurative and landscape paintings from the 1950s and '60s have a simplicity and purity that marry narrative and formal eloquence. In the 1970s he began working with rope and sand, creating poetic canvases of mysterious beauty." - Acme Gallery.
