Brenda's Grandparents: Retired relics of a time when the Bassett family controlled their lives. The powerful Bassett's are dead now, except for a nephew waiting to claim the estate. The great house stands empty, the only living thing remaining is an old horse up on the hill. It is Brenda who is determined to bring him down from the hill to save him from the winter and starvation. Slowly the horse works as a catalyst, joining three generations in a common bond greater then their petty wants and fears.
