The book is based on the posthumous exhibition "Livsmagi" (The Magic of Life) of 1988, a display of Swedish artist Viksten's last watercolours, with his own poetic comments. The book is designed by Christer Jonson, who has inscribed the copy to gallery owner Anders Tornberg, thanking him for the sending of invitation cards through the years.
