1st edition softback with stiff wrappers As New quarto 64pp., b/w plates, Nanbaree was a 6 year old child when he watched the First Fleet sail into Sydney Harbour. When Surgeon White adopted him, he translated for Governor Philip and lived with Thomas Watling, the artist, who documented White's collection of animal and plant specimens. Neat ownership signature o/w nice copy.
