Martin Madl attemps to sketch the ceiling frescoes proposed for the monastic library hall along with the unrealized Brevnov monastic library decorations. His work also hones in on the conflict between traditional Catholics and the new Enlightenment concept of natural law as well as its role in art. The contents of the sketches are then explained with regard to religious and historical Benedictine sentiments as well as the relationship to education.
