When her husband became aware of it, she committed suicide. Johnson then killed Henry with a shotgun" [McDade, who cites this pamphlet as the sole source for the trial]. After Johnson killed Henry, Johnson gave himself up. Voorhees lauds Johnson's sterling character, to which many solid citizens of Johnson's and Voorhees's native Indiana attested.
