Ziel des AJC war es, die Jugend der Arbeiterklasse auszubilden und zu fördern. Das sozialistische Kulturideal wurde mit traditionellen Sitten, ohne Alkohol und Tabak sowie mit körperlicher Bewegung, Volkstanz, Musik und Laienspielen verwirklicht. . Koos Vorrink (18911955) war ein inspirierender Anführer des AJC. Von 1927 bis 1934 war er Bundesvorsitzender. Er bat den ehemaligen Lehrer und Musiker Piet Tiggers (1891-1968), die Musikarbeit im AJC aufzubauen; Seine Frau Line Hoven sorgte für den Volkstanz bei den Führungskursen" (Wikipedia). - Mit hervorragenden Illustrationen des belgisch-niederl. Künstlers R. Hynckes (1893-1973), einer der wichtigsten Vertreter des magischen Realismus. - Umschlag mit Randläsuren, größerer Randeinriss bei allen Blättern geschlossen (geringf.
